Our Puppy Process

Bringing home an FBGR puppy begins with making sure our dogs and your household are a good fit. Here is what to expect—from submitting your request through go-home day.

Our normal puppy process is outlined below. At this time, however, our paid waitlist is full and we are not accepting new deposits. Families interested in a future puppy may join our Puppy Interest List. When we reopen applications, those families will be given the first opportunity to complete our full Puppy Request Form.

Tell us about your household, lifestyle, goals, and what you are looking for in an FBGR puppy.

Application Review

We review each request to make sure expectations, lifestyle, and the needs of a field-bred Golden are a good fit. We'll contact you with any follow-up questions.

Pricing, Approval & Deposit

Once your Puppy Request Form has been reviewed and approved, we'll invite you to submit a $500 non-refundable deposit. The deposit is applied toward the total purchase price and secures your position on our waitlist.

Officially on the Waitlist

Waitlist order is based on the date deposits are received. Families may defer their place to wait for a preferred litter, sex, or timing, subject to your deposit policy.

Litter and Puppy Matching

As litters are born and evaluated, you'll receive updates about availability, timing, and the puppy-matching process. We use formal temperament assessments at ~6.5 weeks to match each puppy with the right home.

Go-Home Preparation

Approved families receive pickup timing, final-payment instructions, health records, feeding information, and preparation details before go-home day.

A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your waitlist position. The deposit is applied toward the total purchase price.

We are not accepting new deposits at this time. Payment instructions are provided only to approved families when applications are open.

We do not accept personal checks on puppy pickup day.

Pickup & Transport

We encourage families to pick up their puppy in person at our farm in West Mountain, Utah. We can meet at the Salt Lake City airport for a $120 fee (by prior arrangement). We do not ship puppies via cargo.
